Gaza Administration Handover: Hamas Ready for Smooth Transition

Hamas has completed preparations to hand over the governance of Gaza to the Palestinian technocrat committee, marking a major step in administrative transition. Under this Gaza administration handover, Hamas will ensure that all departments and essential services in Gaza are transferred smoothly to the technocrat committee.
Hamas spokesman Hazem Qassem said the group is ready to cooperate fully during the next phase of the ceasefire. Special committees have been formed to oversee the transition process and to make sure the technocrat committee can manage Gaza’s affairs effectively.
Qassem also emphasized the importance of reopening the Rafah crossing without Israeli interference. He highlighted that Hamas is strictly following the ceasefire agreement and has fulfilled all responsibilities in the first phase, preparing fully for the second phase of the handover.

The 15-member technocrat committee is composed of Palestinian technocrats and was formed under the ceasefire agreement signed on October 10, supervised by U.S. President Donald Trump. The committee, led by former Palestinian Authority Deputy Minister Ali Shaath, will manage Gaza’s daily administrative affairs and operate under the oversight of the Board of Peace.
Hamas confirmed that the Gaza administration handover will continue as planned, with committee members entering Gaza through the Rafah crossing once it opens. The group also stressed that the struggle for Palestinian rights will continue until the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.
